Matthew and Sidney Smith

​Matt serves as Lead Pastor of Love Action Church. He was born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio. He attended Wayside Christian School and continued his education at The Ohio State University and Liberty University. He has been in ministry since 2004. Sidney was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Ontario High School. She assists with office duties , media, nursery, and Women of LA. Sidney finally caved and married Matt on May 3rd, 2014. They have two children, Malakai and Genesis.

Keith and Kelly Stamper

​Keith serves as Worship Pastor at Love Action Church while also serving on the Deacon Board.  Keith was raised in Mansfield, Ohio while Kelly hails from the big town of Shelby. Kelly heads up our nursery and also assists with our Women of LA ministry. They have three children: Sidney (Matt) Smith, Kidron, and Brooklyn. They struggle in claiming the fourth, Matt, although he is starting to grow on them. In addition they have two grandchildren.

Gary and Betty Reynolds

Gary and Betty are long time Mansfield and Crestline area residents and have served faithfully for many years in various ministries. Gary serves as the Chairman of the Deacon Board at Love Action. Gary and Betty also serve on the First Impressions team.  Gary is an avid Buckeyes fan, and Betty cooks some mighty fine fried chicken! Gary and Betty have two sons,  one daughter-in-law, four grandchildren, one grandson-in-law, two great-grandchildren, and three scrappy dogs that keep them busy.

Earl and Joan Smith

​Earl and Joan were both born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio. They have served in various  ministry capacities over the years, and are currently ministering at Troy Chapel in Delaware, Ohio. Earl serves as Pastor at Troy Chapel and also serves as a consulting  deacon on the Love Action Deacon Board. Earl and Joan have an abundance of children and grandchildren (6 kids, 5 kids-in-laws, 14 grandchildren) with their son Matt being their pride and joy, or so he thinks.

To be a relevant church for both the un-churched and the spiritually thriving, to help people from all walks of life become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ as they embrace God’s goodness to them, and to multiply our efforts through new church plants.

To allow God to activate His love in us so that He may activate His love through us as we display that love in action helping people  discover a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and discipling them on their Christian journey.

To be obedient to the Great Commission to which Jesus, our Head, has called us, and to be the fullest expression of God’s indescribable love to both believers and the world.

Our Story

Love Action Church is nothing that came out of man's imagination or ambition. Love Action is a result of what God is doing each and every day. That is, seeing a need and meeting it. In the fall of 2014 God united some hungry hearts who shared the same desires of living lives that glorify God and being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. We at Love Action are nothing special, but the God we serve sure is! The God of the Bible is the same God who is working today, and He is desiring to do a work in you and through you. Talk about amazing! If you're ready...join the journey!

Rick and Christine Mangette

​Rick and Christine both serve on the LA worship team and Rick serves as an LA Deacon. Christine has a passion for worship and hospitality while Rick has a passion for discipleship. They have four children and one son-in-law: Natalee (Andrew), Jessica, Emily, and Jacob.
